NEW YORK — There's no need for wrap-up music to play off long-winded winners at the Webby Awards. At the annual ceremony celebrating excellence on the Internet, acceptance speeches are limited to just five words.

"This is the only awards show where the descriptions of the awards are longer than the speeches," said comedian Hannibal Buress, host of the 19th annual Webby Awards at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday evening.

The winners, ranging from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's Ellie Kemper to the dating application Tinder, were announced three weeks in advance, giving the recipients plenty of time to carefully select their five words.

Here are some of the best speeches from the event:

"So excited. Live-streaming my pants," said Kemper, who took home the award for best actress for her role in the Netflix original series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

"Happy f------ birthday, Tina Fey," said Titus Burgess, who won the award for best actor for his role in Unbreakable KimmySchmidt. Fey, one of the creators of Schmidt, turned 45 May 18.

"The Internet must be stopped," quipped comedian Chelsea Peretti, winner of outstanding comedic performance for her Netflix special Chelsea Peretti: One of the Greats.

"Every August until a cure," said Pat Quinn, ALS patient and co-founder of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Quinn, who was introduced by Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, accepted the special achievement award for the Ice Bucket Challenge, the viral phenomenon that raised over $220 million for ALS.

"Thank you for swiping right," said Tinder co-founders Sean Rad and Jonathan Badeen. The dating application won the breakout of the year award.

"Create change, like a girl," said account executive Shaina Holtz, accepting the agency of the year award on behalf of Leo Burnett Toronto. The agency won 11 Webby Awards for its #LikeAGirl campaign.

In a touching tribute to the late New York Times media columnist David Carr, CNN's Brian Stelter closed with: "David, thank you for the spice."
