Why Kickstarter backers are buzzing over Travel Jacket

The latest project that has Kickstarter funders buzzing is a travel jacket that boasts a built-in neck pillow, gloves and pockets for your smartphone and iPad.

Launched in early July, the "World's Best" Travel Jacket from company BauBax has netted more than $2.8 million in funding as of Tuesday afternoon, with 37 days to go before funding requests close.

The Travel Jacket includes an impressive set of features -- 15 total. They include:

-- Neck pillow

-- Eye mask

-- Earphone holders

-- Drink pocket

-- Phone pocket

-- Zipper pocket with telescoping pen/stylus

-- Microfiber cloth

-- Passport pocket

-- Sunglasses pocket

-- Blanket pocket (mini-blanket sold separately)

-- iPad pocket

-- Gloves

-- Hand-warming pockets

-- Portable charger pocket

Clearly, the Travel Jacket has a lot of pockets. It's available in four styles: sweatshirt, windbreaker, bomber jacket and blazer. It's also available in various colors.

BauBax says the Travel Jacket is the most-funded clothing project ever. However, it's still well short of the current Kickstarter record of $20 million posted by the Pebble Time smartwatch.
