Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

CBS, 8 ET/PT

Feeling Holly Jolly yet? If not, odds are you will be by the end of this musical stop-motion classic, one of our best-loved and longest-running specials. Along with a sweet, child-friendly message about being yourself and according others the same privilege, you get the voice of Burl Ives, a host of popular characters, and one of the best original scores ever written for TV. Not to mention the title song, of course, which is an always welcome visitor — the first 100 times you hear it per season.

The Flash

CW, 8 ET/PT

For those who aren't quite ready for holiday caroling, CW launches this two-part Flash/Arrow crossover, scheduled to conclude Wednesday on Arrow. Carlos's new flame Kendra is in danger, and Barry thinks the solution is to bring her to Star City and put her under Arrow's protection. The episode, by the way, is called Legends of Today — and considering that CW's next DC series is Legends of Tomorrow, you can probably guess one of the purposes this crossover is meant to serve.

Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) has some family issues to work out on 'Chicago Med.'

Chicago Med

NBC, 10 ET/PT

The third episode of NBC's latest Chicago drama finds Dr. Rhodes haunted by his past. Which is appropriate, as this ER-ish medical series from the folks who gave us Law & Order seems fairly haunted itself.
