What's going on with Bobbi Kristina Brown?

A lawyer for her father and her stepmother attempted to clear up confusion Monday, leaving more questions in their wake.

"Bobbi Kristina's condition has changed since moving from Emory University Hospital and there has been improvement," said lawyer Christopher Brown, representing her father Bobby Brown, in a statement emailed to reporters.

"Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life. However, Bobbi Kristina is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come."

Alicia Etheredge-Brown, Bobby Brown's pregnant wife, added that Bobbi Kristina is out of the ICU.

She "opened her eyes, and started a rehabilitation that will be long and hard. We will hold on to all the blessings GOD gives us to help her at this time and we look forward to her having a relationship with her unborn sister as our family grows in love and faith," Etheredge-Brown said in the same statement.

The statement was issued in response to a clamor for clarification after ambiguous, officially unconfirmed remarks by her paternal relatives suggested her comatose condition might have improved.

Her father said during a concert Saturday night in Texas that she is "awake" and that she's "watching me," according murky videos surfacing on social media.

Etheredge-Brown said Bobby Brown was in an "emotional state" when he went on stage Saturday, and was only trying to "correct the negative comments he must endure on a daily basis from both family and the public regarding his daughter's medical condition."

Meanwhile, her aunt, Bobby's sister, Tina Brown, declared in a now-deleted post on her Facebook page that Bobbi Kristina, 22, "woke up" and is "going to be OK."

"So many messages, sorry can't answer them all right now but I will get to them later..just allow me this time with my family,,yes, she woke up and is no longer on life support!!!!!:):)God is good!!thanks for your prayers,,still a process, but she is going to be ok:):):):)."

A friend of Tina Brown, Keliah Fell, showed the post.

Fell urged more prayers for Bobby Kristina on her Facebook page.

But initially there was no confirmation about any of this from Christopher Brown (no relation), until his statement Monday evening.

Etheredge-Brown made a veiled jab at family members talking out of school about Bobbi Kristina's condition.

"I just wish my husband could deal with this most painful and difficult time with people surrounding him who fully support and pray for Bobbi Kristina's recovery and only her recovery," she said in the statement.

Meanwhile, GossipCop.com, an anti-gossip website, cited unnamed sources close to the family in reporting Monday that the Brown family remarks have been misinterpreted, that Bobbi Kristina is "not awake," and her condition remains unchanged.

Bobbi Kristina has been comatose since she was found unresponsive and face down in a bathtub in her Georgia home on Jan. 31. After weeks in an Atlanta hospital, she was moved to an undisclosed rehab facility last month.

Her maternal grandmother, gospel great Cissy Houston, told a New York radio station at the time that her condition remained unchanged.

Her Houston relatives have remained mostly silent about Bobbi Kristina's plight, but her Brown relatives have been more talkative on social media, declaring at different times that she was getting better or that she was no longer on life support.
