One simple tip that could fix Tiger Woods' game

Each week, CBS analyst and golf instructor Peter Kostis analyzes a handful of different swings from the week’s event. After dissecting Shaq’s golf swing at the Greenbrier Classic, he turned his attention to Tiger’s ailing game and pointed out something really interesting.

It turns out that, on the golf course, Tiger has a much faster backswing than when he’s practicing. That faster tempo throws off his timing, because he gets to impact much sooner on the course than he usually does on the range.

His faster swing is probably the result of the extra nerves on the course, but if he manages to slow his swing down a little and not hit the ball as hard, as Kostis says, he’d probably end up playing better.
