Watch Jason Day hit his golf ball exactly one yard

Jason Day is the sixth-ranked golfer in the world with three PGA Tour victories to his name. He’s been in the thick of contention at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans since the start of the tournament — but all that didn’t prevent him from hitting a shot that amateur golfers know all too well.

Stuck in the left trees on the par-5 second during the final round, Day went for the green with his second shot but hit a tree. The ball bounced directly backwards, and finished nine feet to the left and one yard ahead of his starting position. He went on to make bogey on the hole.
