Academy Award-winning actress Ellen Burstyn stars as a kind, but tough Virginia landowner in Wish You Well, which debuts its trailer on USA TODAY.

In the drama, due out on DVD and On-Demand June 2, Burstyn is the central character in the adaptation of best-selling author David Baldacci's novel.

Burstyn plays a proud great-grandmother, Louisa Mae Cardinal, who takes in two New York children who have lost their parents in a car accident.

At the same time, Burstyn has to fight off ruthless coal mine developers trying to take over her land.

The film, directed by Darnell Martin, also stars Josh Lucas as a lawyer sympathetic to Cardinal's cause and Mackenzie Foy as Burstyn's great-granddaughter, who tells the tale.
