During a New York Yankees intrasquad game, Chris Young– and only Chris Young– struck out against the pitching machine.

Young shouldn’t feel too bad, though. The pitching machine also held Alex Rodriguez hitless in two at-bats.

It’s too early to be calling things “omens” or “harbingers,” but as the unwritten rules of baseball state, both Young and Rodriguez have to scrub the pitching machine spotless with toothbrushes now*.

*The unwritten rules of baseball don’t say that, but they should.
