Rangers-Sabres game rescheduled for Feb. 20

USA TODAY Sports
The Buffalo Sabres played during Tuesday's snowstorm but Friday's game was postponed.

With more snow headed toward Buffalo, the NHL announced that it is postponing Friday's Sabres against the New York Rangers.

It will be played instead on Feb. 20, which will require another day. The Ottawa Senators-Sabres game scheduled for that day will be moved to Dec. 15.

The Sabres did play at home on Tuesday while a storm was in process of dropping 60 inches of snow in the Buffalo area.

According to weather.com, another two feet was expected through Friday.

The league said the postponement was "due to the continuing weather-related difficulties in the Greater Buffalo area and out of respect for the fans of the Sabres."

The last-place Sabres have won two in a row.
