During the fourth game of the series between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night the doorknob handle fell off of the door to the home radio booth and Bob Uecker as well as other Brewers announcers were trapped inside.
They were stuck in there for some time, and it took a ladder to get Uecker and crew down from the press box.
Whew. Just in time.
Who knows what might’ve happened when their water and snack supply started running low? Sure it might start with bickering, but slowly the thin veneer of civilization would be torn away and they’d revert to a state of nature where the weak and defenseless would only be scavenging to feed the strong.
But it’s cool, though. Because that didn’t happen, and they’re all fine.
