Josh Smith got his first bit of action in a Houston Rockets jersey when they took on the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.

He didn’t start, but still led the Rockets in field goal attempts for nearly all of regulation.

It wasn’t all bad though, a lot of the offense flowed through him, and the minutes that he and Dwight Howard shared the floor, the Rockets seemed brightest. As little credit as he gets for it, Smith is an excellent touch-passer. He also scored 21 points.

However, those 21 points came from 9-for-21 shooting. He also whiffed an ill-advised three-point attempt.

NEVER CHANGE, JOSH SMITH. NEVER CHANGE.

The Rockets won in overtime, 117-111.
