Punchlines: Comics burst Deflategate's bubble

USA TODAY
Conan O'Brien

The Thursday news conference with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady — the conference that was supposed to reveal the truth behind the Deflategate scandal, the one that was trumped up so much that it felt like, according to one comic, we were waiting to hear from the man who killed President Obama's dog — turned out to be a bust.

Brady said he didn't alter footballs and claimed not to know much about what could have lead to accusations that the Patriots used deflated footballs during an AFC Championship game. In fact Brady used the phrase "I don't know" so many times that one comic started to wonder if the football player even knew how to spell his own name.

And this isn't the first scandal the Patriots have been involved in. Take a look at this webisode of Punchlines to see what other outrageous moves the team has made, including widening its own goal posts.
