Nick Aliotti retired after the 2013 season after having served as Oregon’s defensive coordinator since, and in the four years Aliotti worked alongside current Eagles coach Chip Kelly, the Ducks won an incredible 59 of 66 games and went to four BCS bowls. Kelly left for Philadelphia after a win in the Fiesta Bowl, and he’s transformed the Eagles into one of the most exciting offensive teams in the league. Kelly’s Eagles won the division in his rookie year, and Philadelphia is 8-3 through 11 games in 2014.

The rest of the division is trying to catch up, and Washington, Dallas and New York all tried to bring in Aliotti to share Kelly’s secrets. Aliotti told the Oregonian that he didn’t feel comfortable accepting the offers.

“I have been asked by everybody in the NFC East. The Giants asked me to come back when Chip got the first job. I didn’t feel right doing that. Some teams have called when they’re getting ready to play the Eagles and they call and have certain questions on the thing. Unless I know the guy and he’s a good friend, I don’t get involved with that.”

Those teams could have just asked the Eagles’ cheerleaders for a few tips.
