Someone with a lot of time on their hands whittled an actual, life-sized pair out of butternut wood, and has posted them for auction on eBay.

I personally can’t fathom paying ten grand for a wooden carving of basketball shoes, but the inescapable truth of this is that someone is going to fork over money for this. Law of Probability being what it is and all.
