Kings of Leon, Ed Sheeran to play Summerfest

Milwaukee's Summerfest — billed as "the world's largest music festival" with more than 800 acts over 11 days — has announced headliners Kings of Leon, Ed Sheeran, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line and Linkin Park.

The festival, which was launched in 1968 and now draws about 900,000 music fans to its 11 stages along the banks of Lake Michigan, is being held June 24-28 and June 30-July 5 this year.

Other acts will be announced later.

The announced headliners will play in the Marcus Amphitheater on these dates:

• June 24: Florida Georgia Line, with Thomas Rhett and Frankie Ballard
• June 25: Kings of Leon
• June 26: Keith Urban, with Philip Phillips and Dan + Shay
• June 30: Linkin Park, with A Day To Remember
• July 3: Ed Sheeran, with Rixton
