Kardashian sisters in Montana car crash

Khloé Kardashian, second from left, was driving her sisters around Bozeman, Mont., when a snow squall left her temporarily blinded, causing her to skid onto ice and across traffic.

A black GMC Yukon carrying Kim and Khloé Kardashian, as well as a third unidentified person, slid off an icy Montana road and fell into a nearby ditch Saturday morning, Montana Highway Patrol Capt. Mark Wilfore told USA TODAY.

Wilfore did not confirm reports that Kim's daughter, North West, and Kim's half sister Kylie were in the vehicle.

He did, however, say Khloé was driving and that the sisters did not slide into oncoming traffic as reported by several outlets. Instead, the Yukon remained on the right side of the road during the ordeal.

"They did not cross into the other lane of traffic," Wilfore said, adding that the vehicle was not damaged and no one was injured. "They simply fell victim to the poor road conditions."

After the accident, Kim offered a prayer of gratitude for their safety on Twitter.

The incident happened about 4 miles south of Belgrade, Mont., in a rural area outside of any city limits, Wilfore said.

More than 10 cars had already slid off the road Saturday morning when police received a call about the Kardashians' vehicle at about 11:30 a.m. local time. The responding trooper immediately recognized the Kardashian sisters, who were driving to the airport, Wilfore said.

The trooper spent about 20 minutes on the scene and did not issue any citations. "He simply handled the incident and moved along," Wilfore said. "There was nothing out of the ordinary."

Nothing out of the ordinary except the uber-famous occupants, that is. Calls have been pouring into the Highway Patrol all day, Wilfore noted.
