The level of play at Monday’s U.S. Open final between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic has been nothing short of staggering. This 54-shot rally on a Djokovic break point should be buried in a time capsule to tell future generations of the greatness of present-day men’s tennis.
Djokovic failed to consolidate the break of Nadal — which was just the second of the entire tournament — but broke later in the set to even up the U.S. Open final at one set each.
