The Dallas Cowboys' generation of mediocrity

The Dallas Cowboys, who have been the most popular team in America since 2007, have also been impressively consistent in their mediocrity over the past few years.

Heading into Sunday’s game against the Eagles, Dallas was 131-131 since 1997, 8-8 over the past two years, 3-3 this season and 9-9 against the Eagles over the past decade.

UPDATE: The Cowboys beat the Eagles 17-3 to improve to 132-131 since 1997, 9-8 over the last two seasons, 4-3 this season and 10-9 against the Eagles over the past decade.
