The Toronto netminder debuted a new helmet during the Leafs’ preseason game on Monday. The helmet shows Cheer Bear from the Care Bears, Roo from Winnie the Pooh, and what appears to be Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony.

Cartoon-fans out there might note that these aren’t perfect replications of the characters. The prevailing theory is that the artist wanted to avoid copyright issues, so he/she removed the symbol from the Care Bear’s belly and also switched the color of ‘Pinkie Pie’ from My Little Pony. Clearly we need to do some more investigating.
