Marshawn Lynch finally spoke to the media … sort of.

In his latest press conference given on Thursday afternoon, the Seattle Seahawks running back started by giving the media members in attendance a brief lecture. He then said: “For the next three minutes, I’ll just be looking at y’all the way you looking at me.”

Hey look. I mean all week I done told y’all what’s up. And for some reason, y’all continue to come back and do the same thing that y’all did. I don’t know what kind of story y’all are trying to get out of me. I don’t know what kind of image y’all are trying to portray of me. But it don’t matter what y’all think, what y’all say about me, cause when I go home at night, they same people that I look in the face, my family, that I love, that’s all I really matters to me, Lynch said, pausing to chuckle. So you all can go and make up whatever you want to make up, cause I don’t say enough for you all to go put anything out on me. But I’ll come to y’all event and y’all shove cameras and microphones down my throat. When I’m at home in my environment, I don’t see y’all. But y’all mad at me. If y’all ain’t mad at me, then what are you all here for?

Lynch indicated that it angers him that reporters won’t respect his privacy.

“You all shove cameras and microphones down my throat,” Lynch said. “I ain’t got nothing for you all. . . You all will sit here doing the same thing. I’m here preparing for a game.”
Then he started shouting out all sorts of people and things.

One reporter asked about Lynch’s work in the inner cities, attempting to draw him out, but Lynch only responded that the reporter could come speak to him in the inner city next time he’s there.

After the time mandated by the league, a timer went off on Lynch’s phone, letting him know he didn’t have to speak anymore. So he didn’t speak anymore. He got up and left the podium.
