Shakira welcomes a baby boy

It's another boy for Shakira!

She and her longtime partner, Gerard Piqué, announced the birth of Sasha Piqué Mebarak on Friday on her website. The couple's second child was born on Jan. 29 in Barcelona.

Why Sasha?

"The name Sasha is of Greek and Russian descent and means 'defender of mankind' and 'warrior,'" said a note on the singer's site. Their elder son, Milan, is 2.

Shakira and baby Sasha are both in "excellent health." Congratulations!
