NEW YORK — Prince Fielder has not tripled in a regular-season Major League game since May 31, 2012. But when his sinking drive toward right field in the 2013 All-Star Game got past diving outfielder Carlos Gomez, Fielder smelled three bags and made a hard charge around second, sliding safely under third baseman Pedro Alvarez’s tag.
