Kevin Durant and Dwyane Wade squared off in the NBA Finals in 2012, but to the best of our knowledge, they’re friends. They’ve even done Gatorade commercials together.

On Tuesday, Durant was interviewed by CineSport and said he would take former teammate James Harden over Wade.

Wade took exception to the perceived slight from KD, and posted this note on his Instagram account:

In all seriousness, with Wade’s declining health and Harden’s emergence as a superstar in Houston, Durant may have a point. But Wade is still a good enough player that he has every right to demand respect from his peers, especially when they’ve lost to him in the Finals.

Durant’s response to Wade’s picture was short and sweet:

Fair enough.
