Tim Curry is recovering after suffering a major stroke at his home in Los Angeles.

The British star, 67, who is possibly best known for his work in 1975's Rocky Horror Picture Show, is said to be "doing great" following the collapse, reports the Daily Mail.

The stroke is said to have happened Thursday night.

"Tim is doing great," his longtime Los Angeles agent Marcia Hurwitz tells the Daily Mail.

"He absolutely can speak and is recovering at this time and in great humor," she added.

UPDATE: 7 p.m. ET: Hurwitz tells USA TODAY that the stroke happened "last July." She adds, "He has been going to physical therapy doing very well and in great humor. He thanks everyone for sending him good wishes."
