What if NFL logos were British?

Chris Chase, USA TODAY Sports

Have you ever wondered what your favorite NFL franchise's nickname and logo would be if America had lost the Revolutionary War and we were all drinking tea, wearing monocles and complaining about the weather? Of course you haven't, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be fun to start.

David Rappoccio created alternate British logos for all 32 NFL teams and posted them on his website, Dave's Art Locker. As one of those kids in the Harry Potter movies would say, it's brilliant.

If Rappoccio's name sounds vaguely familiar, it's because he's the genius -- and I don't throw around that word often -- who celebrated last year's Peyton Manning free agency sweepstakes by putting Peyton's face on each NFL logo.

This time around, he's gone the British route, which means lots of pipes on the logos and team names that feature words that are fun to say in your British accent that's not nearly as good as you think it is. It also means the New England Patriots logo takes on far, far different significance. As if you didn't have reason to dislike Bill Belichick enough, now he's a redcoat.
