Nick Offerman, TV's Ron Swanson, can make you a baseball bat

TV fans know actor Nick Offerman as Parks and Recreation’s Ron Swanson, a woodworking, saxophone-playing, government-hating government official in fictional Pawnee, Indiana. Fewer realize that many of the character’s abilities were inspired by the actor’s. They share skills on the sax and at the lathe.

Now Offerman’s putting his woodworking skills to the best possible use: Making baseball bats.

So that’s cool.

It’s also worth noting that though I’m certainly in no position to doubt Offerman’s woodworking expertise, I can say with some confidence that many people would shy away from interacting with a bat-wielding fellow wearing that beard and this expression:
