Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones has hit 112 home runs in his career. The Bill James career assessment tool projects that he will hit 332 before he retires.

You can assume with reasonable confidence that none of the remaining 220 Jones homers will look like the one he hit Sunday in a 6-0 win over the Twins at Target Field.

Jones drove a sharp liner that just cleared the left field fence, hit the railing above the wall at an angle, flew straight up and reputedly landed in the second deck. It’s a weird one that takes a replay or two to figure out:
